A more sensible choice than lumpwood charcoal, that has an average burn time of around an hour, these charcoal briquettes develop their heat and burn for up to 3 whole hours! Of course, it may take slightly longer to get up to cooking temperature, but there is less need to refuel so you get more cooking time.

Each briquette is relatively large which makes the lighting process easier, and the shape provides good air circulation to instil an even burn.
